• The stock setting of this film is a school where most of the friend groups are alike with their appearance and styles. for example the goths stick together which connotes the dominant ideology that media represents teens in clicks because of their appearance and are named by the groups style and social status of the school.
• There is a longview shot of the girls fighting and arguing over a guy who cheated them all except for the blonde one holding the book (kate) it connotes there relationship is not great however when they realise they have something in common, the relationship soon progresses and kate helps them get even.
• The relationship between John and Kate becomes close and they start falling for each other however kate towards him is faking it as she is getting him back for the girls, which connotes its only a fake romantic relationship.
• Kate and Johns brother start to get to know eachother throughtout and start liking eachother this is shown through closeups.

The cheerleader obviously wears more gym wear and a little uniform outfit which connotes shes part of the cheer squad.Then theres the girl who does not eat meat and does not agree with killing animals, she was a hippy/ eco warrior and then the other girl was clean cut perfect hair and she was more of an organiser, did not really have many friends as she just does loads of things to keep busy. Then Kate is the new girl and has not been in a click so she just wears her style and what clothes she likes, she does not follow everyone else. Its the ideology of teens just following their friends and not really having there own style for themselves.
